Strawberry allergy in baby

Strawberry allergy is a common food allergy. One of the most tastiest berries, they can be forbidden for those who are predisposed to allergy from birch tree pollen. They occur more often in children. Strawberry allergy in baby is characterized by an itching or rash where the fruit comes into contact with the skin. Sometimes the symptoms of strawberry allergy should not be confused with diaper or nappy rash. Strawberry allergy in baby can also cause hives, swelling or itching of the throat.
Either one of the parent who have a history of a food allergy or any allergy for that matter, will have offspring’s who are at a higher risk of being allergy prone.
Strawberry allergy is the body’s immune system reacting adversely to the protein found in the strawberry and sending out allergy signals. Red strawberry is the one, which causes strawberry allergy in baby and adults. Red is the color of the protein that gives the strawberry its rich red colour. It is found that white strawberries do not cause allergy symptoms and can be given to those who are allergic to the red ones. It is advisable to introduce strawberry at a later age, to avoid a strawberry allergy in baby at a tender age. Can strawberry allergy be gone as the child turns into an adult? Yes in some cases they outgrow the allergy.
