Indonesia Java International Destination – West Java – Jatiluhur Dam

Jatiluhur Dam situated in the West Java region of Java Island is one of the famous Indonesia Java International Destination. This dam is situated in the district of Purwakarta and it has beautiful scenery. Jatiluhur Dam, an Indonesia Java International Destination is located at a distance of 9km from the district of Purwakarta and it is known as Juanda Dam and has the capacity to store 3 billion cusecs of water which comes from the river of Citarum. This dam is the first kind of multipurpose dam that was constructed in the country of Indonesia and it was built with the assistance of French people. This dam offers irrigation facility to its surrounding region and it has even helped the development of a fishery industry around the area. This dam is now being renovated to promote tourism and the facilities that are provided here are camping ground, speed boats for water skiing, tennis courts, swimming pools, camping ground and cottages. There are six numbers of turbine units inside the dam and the power which could be generated in this dam amounts to 1000 million kilowatt hours per year. The dam also provides help to the people around by protecting them from flood and the water can also be used for drinking purposes.
